Groups in the Burgh Benefice
Junior Church: This takes palce on Sundays during the Eucharist and all children are welcome.
Mothers’ Union: There is an active Mothers’ Union which meets in the Choir Vestry of the Church on the second Wednesday of each month at 2.00pm
Bell Ringing: There is a peal of eight bells and these are usually rung on Sunday mornings from 9.00-9.30am. Practice night is Wednesdays from 7.30pm- 9.00pm
Choir: There is an adult choir of men and ladies. They sing at both services on Sundays. Choir practice is on Thursdays at 7.00pm in Church.
Church/Community Tea Room: It is open Mon,Tue,Wed,Fri & Sat from 9.00am-4.00pm and on Thursdays from 1.00pm until 4.00pm, Childrens Centre, Burgh
St Peter & St Paul, Burgh-le-Marsh
A former Market Town with a fine Marshland Church which is open daily from 9.00am-5.00pm.
The main Sunday Eucharist is accompanied by organist, choir and some ceremonial. Evensong from the Book of Common Prayer is sung most Sundays at 6.00pm.
We have a very popular Church School in Burgh with approx 200 children, which has its own website. The Rector conducts assembly every week and the children attend church once a term and on major Church festivals.
It is best to park in the Market Place and there are several different pathways to the Church.
